🤰🏻 Fertility issues can be an uncertain time for most couples. It's important to know that a woman is born with all of the eggs she will ever ovulate.

2️⃣ This is around 2 million at birth, and goes down to about 400,000 by the time of puberty. There are about 1,000 eggs at the time of menopause. All of these are what we call immature eggs.

🪺 Not all of the 2 million eggs are ovulated. Usually, in each menstrual cycle, one egg is matured in the ovaries and is then released. The remaining eggs are reabsorbed by the body. This increases as you get older and hence fertility declines.

💊 There are lots of factors such as genetics, alcohol, smoking, substance abuse, long term medical conditions, etc, that can affect your fertility potential and accelerate fertility decline.

❤️ If you are worried about your fertility, I would urge you to speak to your doctor. If you would like to see me in my fertility clinics, you can book using the link in my bio.
