But you still need a robe to throw on in the evening after a shower or in the morning after sleep. It is especially nice if it is made of light, breathable fabric. The wraparound robe model is very convenient - no buttons are needed, the zipper will not break.
I offer a model of a robe in which all the details are cut out as one whole. When cutting, we measure the circumference of the hips and the circumference of the chest, the measurement that is more suitable for the width of the robe.
1) First, draw a rectangle with a length of 150 cm and a width of 6 equal parts, each of which is equal to ¼ OB.
2) You also need to measure the height of the chest (measured from the base of the neck to the highest point of the chest) and the length of the front (measured from the base of the neck to the waist).
3) I took the sleeve length 50 cm. I formed a neckline inside.
I think everything is clear according to this scheme. We just substitute our own measurements. The width of the sleeve at the bottom has been slightly narrowed, but this is optional; you can leave it straight. It is better to take a larger chest height, since this value will be the width of the sleeve; it is better if it is looser.
For OB (hip circumference), it is also better to add 6–7 cm for a loose fit. That is, if OB = 108 cm, then it is necessary to 108 + 6 = 114. Then ¼ OB=1/4 of 114 cm.
4) When the robe is cut, you need to sew a stitch, starting from the sleeve, then continue along the chest line, making a notch in the corner.
5) Now you can try it on.
Since I did not add 6 cm to the OB, I prepared a wide facing, cut on the bias, to process the neckline, because the neckline turned out to be very open.
6) Next, I folded the fabric on the shelves and stitched.
7) I prepared two belts and sewed them to the robe on both sides.
8) I made a loop in one side for a belt.
9) I hemmed the robe and finished the bottom of the sleeves.
10) A small flaw - on the shelf, which is on top, just above the waistband, you need to make a fold in order to raise the shelf, since it hangs down a little, about 5 cm.
But, despite this, the robe turned out to be very convenient, light, comfortable and sewn very quickly.
