Nowadays, many home renovation paints are sold in plastic buckets. After use, you can wash them and then use them.
Interestingly, the quality of the plastic here is better and stronger than that of real buckets, which are more fragile and break quickly. They also have a metal handle.
For watering the garden, this is what you need.
And if you plant flowers there, you will get an excellent flowerpot.
Smaller buckets are used for indoor flowers.
And, of course, they need to be decorated. There are many materials used to decorate plastic.
These are twine, branches, paper, shells, pebbles, broken dishes, and you can simply paint them with paints...
More advanced craftsmen invent all sorts of devices. I saw a shade for a chandelier made from a bucket and a chicken feeder.
Today I also have an unusual idea.
An eight-liter plastic bucket will turn into a small piece of furniture - a cute ottoman.
There are two ways to do it.
You can use a bucket like this with a lid. The lid will act as a seat.
Of course, everything needs to be refined, the top made soft, and the inside used for storing some things.
I chose the second option. Ottoman with legs. I wanted it to look more elegant.
It's very easy to do:
Wash the bucket, remove the handle.
Prepare three identical wooden legs. I have them 45 cm long. You can use tree branches without bark or cuttings from a shovel for this.
Screw each with two screws to the sides of the bucket. You can have one more on top.
We turned it over, and the bare ottoman was ready.
Next, we cut out a circle from foam rubber for the seat and padding polyester for the covering.
Glue them to the bucket with hot glue.
We cut out the cardboard for the bottom and glue it too. Now you won't guess what it's made of.
You can take any material for the cover according to your taste and capabilities. I had a piece of faux fur. Measure the circumference of the bucket, trace the round part, and the pattern is ready.
This ottoman will help you relax while relaxing on a sofa or armchair. It will be an excellent rest for tired feet.
It looks decent, but costs nothing. The same analog from a store would cost 3-5 thousand rubles, but here is a free option.
Hope you liked this idea.

2) Using this technique, you can change the shape of any plastic bucket. The result is impressive.
Jute is an affordable material for making various items for home decoration. Currently this material is very common.
Rugs, napkins, baskets, and souvenirs are made from it. Its main advantage is environmental friendliness, durability, and a pleasant brown color that fits into the decor of the home.
Such simple things as plastic buckets, bottles, cans can be transformed beyond recognition with the help of jute rope or twine.
Today I will show you how to turn a plastic bucket into a wonderful vase. Moreover, the cylindrical container will change and take on smooth, sinuous shapes.
To do this you will need hot glue and floral wire. It is sold in handicraft stores, at new prices it is 112 rubles for a package of 12 pieces of 40 cm each. Due to its properties, the wire is strong and at the same time soft, it holds bends well.
How to do.
I cut each wire in half with pliers.
I made 23 marks at the bottom of the jar and glued the wire to the base. This amount may be less or more depending on the size of the container and the thickness of the rope.
But the number of rods must be odd so that the weaving does not go astray!
Now I glued the twine in a circle so that the height of the turns is 2-3 cm. This will further secure the wire.
Next, the twine was braided through one wire around the bucket in one direction.
When the weaving reached the height of the can, I bent the wire inward and continued weaving.
After about 4.5 cm, the wire bent in the other direction. Continued weaving until the end.
I secured the twine with glue to the ends of the wire.
I crocheted a braid from another rope and glued it on as a border.
I bent the side of the vase and got waves.
The vase was perfect for my dried lavender.
If the ropes for weaving are thicker, then such a vase will be woven many times faster and will also be beautiful.
