This is a skirt sewn on the bias. By placing the pattern diagonally, the fabrics of the fiber of the product are stretched and smoothly fit the figure. For cutting, you need to measure your waist circumference.
The pattern is done like this:
1) On a vertical line down, a value equal to half the waist circumference minus 7 cm is marked and half the waist circumference is marked with a compass.
2) Next, the length of the product is noted.
3) It is better to make a pattern on paper, then figure out how much fabric you need.
4) Cut diagonally! It turns out two identical parts.
This skirt will have a zipper. To begin with, on the left side, it is necessary to mark the length of the zipper and sew the side seam from this mark. Sew the other side in the same way.
How to sew a zipper? Use the special zipper foot.
6) Where the zipper will be sewn in, it is necessary to strengthen the fabric with strips of interlining. Then overcast the edges of the side seams.
7) First, one part of the zipper is attached to the back half of the skirt on the left side.
8) Close the zipper, put the front part of the skirt on the zipper and sew, stepping back from the folded part 1–1.5 cm
9) Lay a line on the waist line, this will help pull the fabric to its original size.
10) For the belt, I cut off a strip 10 cm wide, smoothed the interlining to it.
11) The length of the belt should be about 4-5 cm longer than the waist. This will be an additional part for the button.
12) I attached the belt to the wrong side of the skirt, stitched it and tucked it on the front side, stitched it.
13) Hemmed the skirt.
