In this video, I explain a few different ways to improve your CPU temperature as well how how to clean thermal paste off your CPU and how to apply thermal paste to your cpu.

My CPU temperature was running above 60 degrees celsius at idle and running in the high 80's and low 90's when playing games. I knew that these temperatures were way too high for my Ryzen 5 3600 CPU if I wanted it to last for a long time.

Here are a couple tools you can download to run the temperature checks for you CPU.

Ryzen Master: https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/r...
MSI Afterburner: https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner
CPUID HWMonitor: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmon...

Run these programs to test your CPU temp and usage. Then you follow my few recommendations of either changing your fans or replacing your CPU fan and thermal paste.

If you're going to be changing the thermal compound on your CPU, you'll want to clean off the heatsink and CPU with 70% or 90% isopropyl alcohol with a lint free rag or wipe.

Then the proper amount of thermal paste to apply is roughly a pea size shape in the center of your CPU, if you have too little then it won't fully cover your CPU and with too much, you could have the compound leak over the edges of your CPU.
