1. First I cut out the front part, as for a pocket. I applied the facing to it on the front side and stitched it, then turned it over to the wrong side. I stitched the edge. If this were a pocket, I would sew burlap here.
2. I attached a belt to this part from the front side, turned it to the desired width, and stitched it on all sides.
3. Now I will process the second part, which will be located under the first part. It's like burlap in your pocket.
4. I finished the edges with bias tape made of thin fabric.
As on the first part, I sewed on the belt.
5. I connected both parts along the side seam. At first glance it looks like a real pocket, but in reality it is a fake.
6. On the first belt I made one buttonhole. I marked the place for the button on the other belt.
I sewed two other buttons on the right and left. They will serve to reduce and increase the belt.
As a result, the fasteners are not located in the side seams, but closer to the middle of the belt.
