Learn how to use region of interest on the V-600UHD 4K video switcher for live events. When producing live events, you may not have the resources to use multiple cameras. If you have a single 4K camera, the V-600UHD Region of Interest will help create auxiliary shots that’ll make it seem like you have more than one camera.

First, split the main signal and channel among the other three channels available. Then you will have your main channel and four regions of interest for the other channels. Select channel 2 on the preview bus and adjust the region frame using the PinP/ROI Scaling physical controls. Repeat the same process for the additional regions to create different shots.

Once you’ve selected the full regions of interest coming from your main shot, you can switch them as if they are different cameras. If you apply the T-bar, you will go to your Region of Interest #1, and you can repeat this for the different regions. This allows it to seem like you have five cameras when you only have one, reducing the budget required to produce multi-view video for events.
