3 Immutable Steps for High Quality Software Development
Most of us will agree that software quality is a big concern today and despite the availability of multiple tools, IDE's, AI and support system, the quality of software is still a concern. If we consider all parameters we usually created better software earlier than we're doing it today.
To gain back the software quality we must need to change the way we do software development, we must follow 3 immutable steps of creating software and the steps are
1. Make it work
2. Make it better
3. make it fast.
In this video, I've talked about why we first need to make it work without thinking too much about the design decisions and architectural concerns, its okay to just make it work because once we make it work, we get valuable information about how the software we intend to build.
once we make it work, then we must make it better and if required we can dismantle each and everything to rebuild, but since we have made it work, it will take just 10 - 15% of the time.
similarly for making it fast, we may end up dismantling the same to make it fast. if we manage to follow all these 3 steps then our software quality will be far far better than what it could be without following the same.
