This Camera Made Me Convert to Sony | A7C II First Impressions
The new Sony A7C II is a compact mirrorless, full frame camera that will be replacing my current workhorse camera. With its small form factor, light weight magnesium alloy body, impressive AI based autofocus, improved menu system, improved color science, and of course Sony's notoriously good low light capability, this camera fills almost every need I have as a videographer and photographer.
A few things that I don't immediately love after spending a few weeks with the camera- the battery life isn't great. It lasts about 3 hours while shooting video. Additionally, I think the audio quality is maybe slightly worse than my old camera, but it's hard to tell. And finally, the monitor brightness and resolution is also a slight downgrade to what I'm used to. However, I'm willing to make those sacrifices in order to get a camera that is improved in all those other ways from my last camera.
