How I Recreated the Lighting in Everything Everywhere All At Once

In this video, I attempt to recreate a signature lighting effect from the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. The lighting effect uses Astera Titan tubes with the Astera app and AsteraBox blue tooth transmitter.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to nail the look exactly because I needed more time to learn the Astera app. (The design of the UI could use a big improvement too in my opinion). But I think this was an interesting demonstration of the cinematography in the film, and a fun way to experiment with new, creative approaches to lighting. I hope you find it entertaining and inspiring!

What I did learn was at least how to use the AsterBox to connect the lights to the app. Here's the process a little bit more clearly:
1. Turn on all lights
2. Open the app and go to the top right menu tab. Follow the directions for connecting the AsteraBox.
3. Press and hold the power button on each light for 3 seconds until they start flashing blue.
4. Go back to the top right tab in the app and click "pair with lights". This will take a minute.
5. Go to the bottom left tab in the app to edit the order of your lights and flow direction.
6. Now you can begin adding and editing effects!

Let me know if you like this experimental format of video. I really enjoy making videos in this more casual style and would love to try more like this! If you have any questions about the setup, drop them in the comments and I'll be sure to answer any that I can.
