Multivariate Chain Rules
We consider differentiating multivariate composite functions such as f(p(t), q(t)) or f(p(u,v), q(u,v)). In the case of univariate composite functions such as g(f(x)), we have the chain rule: (g(f(x))' = g'(f(x))*f'(x). We can derive similar rules for multivariate functions.
