For the lower part, select any material and cut out 2 rectangles from it. Sew along the sides, gather and stitch to the denim yoke.

Today I’ll show you how to sew a new product - a flared denim skirt. For the wedges you will need a couple more jeans in different shades. Instead, you can use any fabric, even with floral prints.
How to sew a skirt like this:
1. I decided on the length, then cut off the excess fabric.
2. On each leg of the front and back, I drew vertical lines exactly in the middle and cut them, not reaching the waistband by about 20–25 cm. You need to look at your jeans, but the cut should be below the zipper.
3. I also cut the side seams to this length.
4. All stitches and thickenings were removed.
5. In the area of the codpiece, front and back, I cut off the protruding fabric.
6. All wedges were aligned. Now these are no longer trousers, but something similar to a skirt.
7. I cut a wedge out of paper and folded it in the middle. I cut out 8 half wedges from two other jeans.
8. I combined two different colors and stitched in the middle.
9. Now you need to carefully insert the wedges. I applied each wedge to the cut, on one side, so that the beginning of the stitching was exactly in the middle and 1 cm above the cut. Then I attached the other side.
10. From the wrong side, I swept each wedge.
11. I hemmed the finished skirt.
It turned out to be a completely new thing, not a trace remained of the trousers.
