How to Add Friends on Steam with EASE
In this video, I’m going to show you how to add your friends on Steam.
If you have a brand new Steam account, it won’t let you add a friend until you’ve spent $5 on Steam. But you can work around that and have your friends add you instead.
When you’ve opened Steam, click on the Friends menu and click Add a Friend. Then in the next menu, it shows that you can search for your friends in one of the search bars. If your account qualifies, then search for your friend and send them a request on Steam. If you can’t do that yet, then copy your Friend code.
After you copied your friend code, send that code to your friends and have them follow the same steps but add your friend code. A request will be sent to you under the menu labeled pending invites.
You should be able to accept their invites and then you’ll be able to connect and play with your friends without having to pay the $5 if your account it brand new.
