Raymond Paige (1900-65) was a radio and studio conductor noted for his 'easy listening' broadcasts in the 1950s. He conducted several orchestras over the years and in 1959 he recorded an LP for 'Everest' of short popular classical numbers, including an orchestration of one of Chopin's most well-known piano pieces. The orchestra was the New York Philharmonic, performing as the Stadium Symphony Orchestra, the name it adopted during its summer seasons at the Lewisohn Stadium.
