Destiny has some of the best lore that I've seen from a modern video game. The way that the loremasters write the lore books is captivating and expands the universe and characters of Destiny in a transformative way. Emperor Calus, Queen Mara, and the Drifter are some of my favorite characters in gaming. However, as Destiny 2's current condition suffers and players flock back to Destiny 1, it made me think back to the past as well. There was a game back on the Gamecube that had far superior lore and it was a single player game! Not only did it's lore build the universe and characters, there was lore that led you to secrets and progression! What game is this you might ask? I speak of the 2002 title Metroid Prime. That's right. A NIntendo game from 18 years ago has greater lore than Destiny which has superior technology and a full writing team. So, how did Metroid Prime achieve this? Well, jump into the video and find out!
