Bottom Line:
The New Covenant was established at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and highlights the way in which Jesus fulfills the requirements of the Law by providing an awesome way of salvation by His grace.
The New Covenant: The New Covenant is the promise that God makes
with mankind that He will forgive sin and restore communion with those
who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ and His work of redemption on the cross.
1. The New Covenant brings new freedom to the life of the believer! Acts 10:9-13; Jeremiah 31:31-33; Romans 8:14
Transformational Truth: “It changes everything”.
2. The New Covenant stresses obedience from a submissive, teachable heart! Acts 10:14-16
Transformational Truth: “It transforms you from the inside out”.
3. The New Covenant is a powerful demonstration of God’s amazing grace! Acts 10:44-48
Transformational Truth: “It invites everyone”.
Through the cross, we have Jesus’...
A. Indwelling presence of God. Galatians 2:20
B. Sufficient power for our walk. Eph. 6:10; 2 Peter 1:3
C. Eternal promises yet to be fulfilled. 2 Corinthians 1:20
D. Perfect plan for our future. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Now What?
1. Understand the awesome impact of the New Covenant on our lives as Christians.
2. Revel in the freedom and responsibility you now have in Christ.
3. Don't take for granted or somehow abuse the freedom and/or the access you have in Christ.
4. Catch a vision for your part in God’s greater plan.
