KGW News Special Edition Opens, 7/30/2024

Opens for the 6.30pm and 7pm newscasts during NBC's coverage of the Olympics on TEGNA's NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregon. Recorded Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Because of the Olympics, KGW is currently doing their news block from 6.30pm to 7.30pm (Nightly News is slotted in at 6; normally it's at 5.30), and is being branded as a "special edition" of KGW News. The opens also feature various Olympic-themed imagery and the anchor opens the show by saying "Happy Olympics!". Music is a production track, "World News Bed" at 6.30, and C Clarity at 7pm. No voiceover is heard in the open but Jim Birdsall remains their station voice in promos.
