Full first and second blocks of the 6am news on the ABC-owned station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, recorded Monday, August 5, 2024.
This morning at 4, WPVI debuted their temporary set while the previous one is cleared out and a new one is installed. The temporary set is in another studio and appears to use elements from both the now-former set (the desk and video wall in particular) as well as a political set (for standups and traffic). For a large market station, this is a very good temporary set.
Because it does use elements of the old set, weekend newscasts (which are solo anchored) had to be presented from the newsroom. The last newscasts on the old set were Friday at 11pm. The new set should debut in a few weeks, and is the first ABC O&O set installation since KFSN two years ago. The previous set dated to 2017 and was designed by Broadcast Design International. It is unknown who will be designing the new set.

The recently debuted ABC group graphics package remains in place (now using the ticker from the package), with Move Closer To Your World by Al Ham for music (along with 2017 updated cues from an unknown vendor, possibly Stephen Arnold), and Gabe Kunda voiceover in the opens.
