Are Midi Packs + Midi Generation making Midi Popular for Songwriting?
Midi has never really gone away, but as a songwriting process, samples, loops and chopping has dominated with the use of audio files. Lately, I see midi packs and midi generation tools dominating the message around songwriting. Midi bundles are still popular and probably better than ever. Meanwhile, the latest AI tools can generate midi dynamically and raise questions about the future of midi packs and libraries.
