Most Guitar VSTs are designed for keyboard players instead of guitarists. They deliver patterns and articulations that mimic the way a guitar player plays - and they kinda make sense. But what if you don't play keyboards or have a midi keyboard controller?
There's a growing number of guitarists that want to use sampled guitar sounds and patterns, but the VSTs haven't caught up to this new demand. Most apps use keyswitches tp control the sounds and presets dynamically. Oh, oh...
If you use a midi guitar, you'll just get midi notes and chords. They'll spound find on a piano or orgam or synth sound, but they won't mimic the strumming of a guitar.
