Twins Donald and Ronald arrested for identical charges
Two men who are twins have more in common than their birthday, including lengthy criminal records and new, identical criminal charges.
The Beaumont Police Department SWAT team and other officers carried out a narcotics search warrant Tuesday and arrested the twins.
Donald and Ronald Barnes, born on January 24, 1967, are jailed on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Tampering with Evidence.
Members of the Beaumont Narcotics Unit, Special Assignment Unit, SWAT Team, and a K-9 executed a narcotics search warrant Tuesday morning at a home in the 2200 block of Ives.
SWAT secured the residence and the two occupants. Officers searched the home and seized about 14 ounces of synthetic marijuana and one rifle.
