Stories are very important for us to understand the events and dynamics around us. That's why it's much more effective to tell a story and convey it to people in this way. We often see lawyers in Hollywood movies using stories when attacking the other side or defending their own side.
Politicians also use this method. Under AKP rule, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has managed to convince a large part of the public of his narrative about Turkey. From the Ergenekon trials, which the government once stood fully behind, to the start and end of the resolution process, there was a story that he could make his audience believe.
