Climbing at French's Dome - Mt. Hood National Forest - Aug 2024 - Oregon
French's Dome is located on the western flanks of Mt. Hood near the community of Zig Zag, Oregon. The rock is composed of olivine basalt and is a tall remnant of an old volcanic neck core after the surrounding softer material eroded away exposing the small rock pinnacle.
