Microsoft Excel Tutorial: VBA Picture Comments in Excel: How to Add Pop-Up Pictures using VBA Code | MrExcel Podcast.

Welcome back to the MrExcel podcast. In this episode, we will be discussing VBA Picture Comments in Excel. This topic may sound familiar to some of you who have been following my work since my days as a regular guest on Call for Help on Tech TV. However, with the changes in Excel 2010, the code we used to use for this feature is no longer working. So, let's dive into how to add these pop-up pictures using VBA in Excel 2010.

First, let's go over the steps for manually adding a picture comment in Excel. You have to insert a comment, delete all the text in the comment, change the diagonal lines to dots, and then format the comment to add a picture. This can be a tedious process, especially if you have a large number of items to add picture comments to. That's where VBA comes in to save the day.

In the video, I will walk you through the VBA code needed to add picture comments in Excel 2010. The code has changed from what we used to use in Excel 2003, so it's important to pay attention to the changes. I will also show you how to use the macro recorder to help with the code. Unfortunately, due to the changes in Excel 2010, the code is a bit longer and more complex than it used to be. But don't worry, I will break it down step by step so you can easily follow along.

I want to give a special thanks to Andrew for sending in a question about this topic. It's always great to hear from viewers and help them with their Excel questions. So, if you have any questions or suggestions for future episodes, please don't hesitate to reach out. And as always, thank you for tuning in to the MrExcel podcast.
