In this episode, we will be discussing the "Filter by Selection" feature in Excel, which is a game-changer when it comes to filtering data. Say goodbye to the slow and tedious process of using the data filter command, and say hello to a much faster and efficient way of filtering your data.
For those of you who are not familiar with the "Filter by Selection" feature, it was originally a feature in Microsoft Access, but was later added to Excel. However, it was hidden and not easily accessible. But don't worry, we will show you how to add it to your Quick Access Toolbar so you can use it with just a click of a button.
To add the "Filter by Selection" feature to your Quick Access Toolbar, simply right-click on the toolbar and select "Customize Quick Access Toolbar". From there, you can add the "AutoFilter Classic" command, which is actually the "Filter by Selection" feature. This will make it easily accessible and save you a lot of time and clicks when filtering your data.
One thing to keep in mind is that you can only use the "Filter by Selection" feature for one criteria at a time. So if you need to filter by multiple criteria, you will have to use the traditional data filter command. But for those times when you just need to filter by one specific item, this feature will be a lifesaver.

There is a faster way to use the Filters in Excel. It is reminiscent of Filter by Selection from Access, but called AutoFilter in Excel. You will have to customize the Quick Access Toolbar to find the command.
