Trying Food at Blue Zone Restaurants of Ikaria Island, Greece
This video shows restaurant food we tried on Ikaria island, Greece. Ikaria is known as a Blue Zone where people live to 100 years and more. We traveled to Ikaria (Icaria) and went to three local restaurants in the village of Magganitis.
While food served there consisted of typical Greek dishes, there were a few unique dishes (horta, kathoura cheese and Ikarian wine). Food in Ikaria's restaurants is mostly seasonal and cooked from ingredients sourced from local farms. That was something unique.
