The One World Trade Center, A Tall Skyscraper Situated In New York City. Also Known As The Freedom Tower, The One World Trade Center, Is Built On The Site Of The Original World Trade Center Complex, Which Was Destroyed During The September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks.
Built At An Estimated Cost Of Roughly 4 Billion Dollars, The Total Height Of The One World Trade Center, Including Its Spire, Is 1,776 Feet (541.3 Meters). This Makes It The Tallest Skyscraper In The United States By Height, The Tallest In The Americas, And The Seventh Tallest In The World. The Height Was Chosen Specifically To Symbolize The Year 1776, When The United States Declaration Of Independence Was Signed. However, If We Measure The Height Of The Building Without Its Spire, The Total Height Of One World Trade Center Stands At 1,368 Feet (417 Meters). This Height Is The Same As The Original North Tower Of The World Trade Center. The Construction Of One World Trade Center Started In April 2006 And Was Completed In May 2013. The Skyscraper Has A Total Of 104 Floors With A Total Floor Area Of 3.5 Million Sq Ft.
