This Is Balochistan, One Of The 4 Provinces Of Pakistan, Situated In The Southwestern Part Of The Country. Covering A Total Surface Area Of Roughly 347190 Square Kilometers, Balochistan Is The Largest Province Of Pakistan By Area. It Constitutes Roughly 44 Percent Of Pakistan's Total Area. Balochistan Is Just A Little Larger In Size Compared To Rajasthan, The Largest State Of India, But A Little Smaller Than Germany. Balochistan Shares Its Borders With Sindh In The East, Punjab In North East, And Khyber Pakhtunkhwa In The North, It Also Has International Borders With Afghanistan And Iran. The State Has A Coastline Along The Arabian Sea In The South.
Although Balochistan Is Pakistan's Largest Province By Area, It Has A Population Of Roughly 15 Million Inhabitants, Making It The Least Populated Province Of Pakistan. The Population Density Is Very Low Due To The Mountainous Terrain And Arid Conditions. The Balochistan Plateau, A Rugged Mountainous Plateau, Covers A Significant Portion Of Balochistan , And Further Extends Into Neighboring Regions Of Iran And Afghanistan. The Plateau Features Several Mountain Ranges Such As The Sulaiman And Kirthar Mountain Ranges. The Average Height In This Area Is 600 Meters. To The South Of The Balochistan Plateau, Along The Coast Of The Arabian Sea, Lies The Makran Mountain Range, The Range Runs Parallel To The Coast And Has An Average Height Ranging From 1,500 To 2,000 Meters. Kharan Desert, A Sandy And Mountainous Desert, Also Covers A Significant Part Of Balochistan And Is Situated In The Northwestern Part Of The Province.
For Administrative Purposes, The Province Is Divided Into Seven Divisions. This Seven Divisions Are Further Subdivided Into 36 Districts. The Capital And Most Populous City Is Quetta, The City Has A Population Of Roughly 1.5 Million Inhabitants. Other Significant Cities Include Gwadar, Turbat, Khuzdar, And Sibi.
Balochistan Is One Of The Two Provinces Of Pakistan, Along With Sindh That Have A Coastline Along The Arabian Sea. Pakistan's Total Coastline Length Is Roughly 1050 Km Long, Out Of Which, 250 Km Lies In The Sindh Province, And 800 Km In Balochistan.
