Anxiety Canada Youth Network Roundtable | Action Anxiety Day 2022
Facilitated by Anxiety Canada virtually and released on Action Anxiety Day, June 10, our roundtable will ask youth to share their anxiety stories with an emphasis on school and the workforce.
Anxiety Canada is a registered charity and non-profit devoted to supporting those impacted by anxiety and anxiety disorders. We offer trusted resources and programs to help people better understand and manage their mental health—and find the relief they need.
Recent years have been a wake-up call to all countries to step up mental health services and support. In the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by 25%, according to a scientific brief released by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 2, 2022. Additionally, recent studies show a massive rise in youth anxiety and depression.
We want to hear from youth: How does anxiety and mental health impact their lives, especially in academic and professional settings? We’ll speak with our valued Youth Network members, NHL artist Dan Pietens, and our expert, Scientific Committee member Dr. Marlene Taube-Schiff.
Kathleen of Anxiety Canada moderates. Canadian Sports Artist Dan Pietens will share his anxiety story first and detail his unique career.
