Die Another Day (2002) - 'Hovercraft Chase' scene
The more over-the-top the opening action sequence is, the more effective the moment when it ends and the title song hits the screen. This one was definitely overblown, but David Arnold manage to compose a piece of action music that stands alone nicely, as well as occasionally rising above the drowning sound effects.
Starring Pierce Brosnan, Halle Berry, Rosamund Pike, Toby Stephens, Judi Dench, John Cleese, Michael Madsen, Ricky Yune and Samantha Bond. Directed by Lee Tamahori, with an original score by David Arnold, featuring the 'James Bond Theme' by John Barry and Monty Norman.
