Classic Cosmopolitan Recipe
If you think the Cosmopolitan cocktail, also known as the Cosmo, is just a ladies' night drink, think again!
Learn how to make the classic cosmopolitan recipe - the original recipe and it's anything but wimpy.
Here’s how to make one perfect classic Cosmopolitan:
Ingredients:
1 oz vodka
1 oz Triple Sec or Cointreau
1 ½ oz cranberry juice
½ oz fresh lime juice
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well then strain into a martini glass. Serves 1.
The Cosmopolitan was actually invented more than half a century ago, but was made popular by the TV show Sex and the City.
While this is a beautiful ladies' night drink, don't let this pink drink fool you. The vodka and Triple Sec that dominate the drink pack a punch and the fresh lime juice wakes up your whole self.
Cosmos are, in fact, the perfect authentic cocktail: bracing, balanced and beautiful. Serve them ice-cold and fall in love at first sip whether you’re a lady, a gent ......or anything in between.
