1. Open the Content Editor and SERP Analyzer
On the Content Editor, click “Analyze”.
Then, go over on the SERP Analyzer and click “Analyze”.
Unlike other SEO optimization tools I’ve used before, these two sections on Surfer SEO get to work pretty fast… No time for a coffee refill or a quick snooze. LOL.
Puts my previous go-to’s to shame, and I’ve used POP and Cora in the past, and it took forever to pull up results with those guys. But not with Surfer SEO.
Anyway…
It grabs the top 10 blogs that are ranking for this query, and what you want to do is to pick a competitor’s blog you want to compare with. Then, Surfer SEO gives you numbers you want to match with your rival’s content or even exceed it (to show them who’s boss!).
Once you have the numbers down, you get to work. Hit the recommended word count, the number of H2’s, H3’s to put, and the suggested keywords, LSI’s to put in your content.
2. Start Writing!
You’re pretty much ready to go with all that information presented to you.
