A heat exchanger is very commonly used in the process industry to manager the temperatures of fluids as they move from one process to another. Assuming relatively small changes in temperature, this is an example of a simple thermal system with first order dynamics which is commonly used in 1st courses. This video demonstrates, quickly, the functionality in the app so users can decide how they might be used effectively in teaching and learning. The apps cover modelling and behaviours for a small number of common variables in the scenario. For more detail read the manual.
