Alzheimer’s Disease: What’s New?
This video aims to disseminate a new model of thinking devised for Alzheimer’s Disease. This video focuses on the research of Dr. Donald Weaver from Krembil Brain Institute in Toronto, Canada. It first explores the short-coming of the 25-year old conventional hypothesis for Alzheimer’s and then dives into thinking of Alzheimer’s as an autoimmune disease. Lastly, it also gives insight into one of the potential drugs being looked at as a result of this new theory of Alzheimer’s.
This video was made by McMaster students Sakshi Jadhav, Angelene Grewal, Syed (Fahad) Farooq, and Aishwarya Singh in collaboration with the McMaster Demystifying Medicine Program.
