Spreads for my new pop-up book: Some Game Shows
I'm creating a new pop-up book (just for myself, not resale) of my favorite TV shows growing up in the late 50s through early 70s. This shows the spread for the game shows "Family Feud", "What's My Line?", "I've Got a Secret", "To Tell the Truth", and "The Hollywood Squares", plus "The Brady Bunch" thrown in because I wanted to reuse part of a pop-up mechanism.
Pop-up elements come from numerous YouTube videos I've seen and books (e.g., "The Elements of Pop-Up") by David A. Carter, James Diaz, Duncan Birmingham, Matthew Reinhart, and Keith Allen, to name a few.
The main point of my own pop-ups is to experiment with different mechanisms and try to understand how they all work.
