Tela by Fors | Is this the next step in MODAL Synthesis?
Modal Synthesis is the sibling of physical modelling and Flors has just released their latest synth, called Teal. In this ‘first look’ at the synth, I’ll explain how we’ve arrived at these sounds and my personal journey. I’ll walk through a quick overview of how it works as well as a demo of select presets.
There’s a debate about whether physical modelling will replace sample based sound sources, and I’ll discuss the attributes of both.
