📝 Ingredients for a 25 x 25 cm mold:
✅ 200 g brown sugar - 7.05 oz.
✅ 1 tsp cinnamon
✅ 50ml water - 1.69 fl.oz.
✅ 4 eggs
✅ Pinch of salt
✅ 100 g walnut kernels + 16 walnut halves -
✅ 200 g flour - 7.1 oz.
✅ 1 tsp baking powder
✅ 1 tsp baking soda
✅ 50 g chocolate drops - 1.8 oz.
✅ 200ml oil - 6.76 fl.oz.
✅ 200 g caramelized condensed milk - 7.1 oz.
Preparation:
1. Simmer brown sugar with cinnamon and water in a saucepan for 1/2 minute.
2. Beat eggs with salt for 4 minutes until fluffy. Then immediately pour the hot syrup into the egg mixture and continue mixing.
3. Add oil and mix.
4. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and chocolate drops and fold into the egg mixture in 3 steps.
5. Add chopped walnuts and stir.
6. Pour the dough into a 25x25 cm baking pan and bake at 160° C for approx. 40-45 minutes.
7. Mix caramelized condensed milk with a small splash of boiling water to form a smooth glaze.
8. Brush the slightly cooled cake with the glaze and decorate with the walnut halves as shown in the video.
