I'm sure when it comes to the world of web development, this is something you've heard of and have been struggling with - should you focus on Front End, or Back End?
Well, I'm here to break down the pros and cons of both, so you have the knowledge to make an informed decision on which path to take going forward.
Let's dive in with Front End Development - this is the process of creating a website's user interface. This means taking care of all the design, layout and structure. It also includes creating the necessary HTML, CSS and JavaScript to make the site look attractive and function properly.
The advantages of Front End Development are that it is relatively easy to learn and has a flexible approach to how the site looks and operates. It also gives you plenty of creativity to make your web application look unique and beautiful.
Moving onto Back End Development - this is the process of building the behind the scenes functionality of a web application. This includes things like databases, servers and APIs. It also includes writing the code needed to make the underlying pieces of the application work together and make the web application run smoothly.
The advantages of Back End Development are that it is more complex and allows for greater scalability and flexibility. It also allows for the creation of databases and server-side applications, making it an essential part of any web application.
In the end, it really just depends on what type of developer you want to be and what projects you want to work on going forward. If you're more of a creative type and want to focus on the front end design, then focus on Front End Development. But if you have a more technical focus and enjoy working with complex problems, then Back End Development is the way to go.
