Hi my name is Roger Ahuja and I'm going to take a moment and just show you how classic shell looks on Windows 8.1. As you can see I've got Windows 8.1 installed and got the start logo here. Just going to open up Internet Explorer and go to one of my favorite websites ninite.com and just select classic shell here and the installer run it. This is the easiest way to install classic shell by the way. And there you go. You've got the start button here programs and apps and so forth and the start screen.
