In this video you can see StrongLifts Member Tim Y (27y, USA) Deadlifting 350lb for 10 reps... on a frigging push boat! Tim works on a push boat near the port of New Orleans, Louisiana. He delivers fuel oil to ships that are in nearby anchorages on the Mississippi River. His hitch is 14 days straight on the boat, and then he get 7 days home. He could have all of that get in the way of his training and goals. But he didn't - he bought a rack and bar, gathered up some mismatched plates and outfitted his boat so he could lift. It's not ideal. Often the deck gets wet with dew, or it rains. And he often lifts in the dark with poor lighting because the stern floodlight doesn't work properly... BUT HE GETS IT DONE. As he says: "Gotta get stronger!"
Tim's gains should be no surprise: since he joined the StrongLifts Inner Circle back in March 2012, about 11 months ago, his Squat has almost doubled from 170lb to 324lb, his Deadlift has doubled from 210lb to 424lb, and his Bench has increased from 200lb to 284lb. Tim's body-weight has increased from 193lb to 229lb as well, and as you can see in the video, that's not 36lb of fat but mostly muscle, Tim clearly looks big and strong.
