1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited
It all began with a purchase in 1987, when Chrysler bought American Motors Corporation and with it, a 225-hp 5.2-liter "Magnum" V-8 motor. When Chrysler decided to equip their new Grand Cherokee with it, they outsold every other sport utility vehicle on the market. The powerful engine was a stepping stone to the 5.9-liter V-8 option that punched out 245 hp and 345 pound-feet (lb-ft) of torque, which meant an increase of 20 hp and 45 lb-ft over the Magnum V-8. This combined with speed, 60 mph in 6.8 seconds to be exact. The 98 #jeepgrandcherokee 5.9 Limited featured luxury touches like premium leather seats, door trim, armrests, and console, a high end 10-speaker audio system, and 60/40 folding seats. It's easy to see why in 1998, this was #MotorTrend’s 4x4 Jeep of the year for its third time in a row, and six times in 16 years.
