Mercedes GLE450d 4Matic AMG Line 3.0 362bhp/367ps Dyno Test – Bluespark Tuning Box
In our latest dyno test we have this incredible 2024 V167 Mercedes GLE450d 4Matic AMG Line in for tuning and testing. After an installation of our specifically designed Pro + Boost SENT chip tuning box, it was up on the rollers to see what the engine could achieve.
It’s always a pleasure to work with these luxury SUVs, as we just know the potential coming from the engine. It’s also worth mentioning that these vehicles currently have a locked ECU with no way to read or write the ECU data. This means that while traditional remapping is impossible, our tuning box can give owners the opportunity to make fantastic gains without requiring a traditional ECU flash. Not only that, but as this is a brand-new vehicle, it can remain totally warranty friendly as it has the added benefit of being traceless once removed.
Dyno testing before and after shows healthy gains across the rev range, with a significant increase in power and torque, really transforming how it feels to drive.
Peak power was significantly increased, as we were able to lift it from 383hp at stock, up to 477hp with the box. If you take a look at the dyno graph here 0:44 you can see how we change that curve (dotted red and blue lines). We give real consistency here, bringing that extra power in as soon as possible, whilst holding it for as long as possible throughout the rev range. Pay attention to the whole of that mid-section, particularly around the 3500rpm mark, where you can really see that noticeable difference, whilst adding that +94hp at its peak, really transforming how it feels out on the road.
Torque also saw some impressive improvements. At stock the engine produced 750Nm and now 878Nm with the box. If you take another look at the graph (solid lines), you can really see where we have applied those gains. Again looking across that whole portion of the mid-range, you can really see exactly where its lifted, adding the +128Nm extra at its peak, delivering that increase exactly where it’s needed.
