Meet Hume's Wheatear | Oenanthe albonigra
Hume's Wheatear, Oenanthe albonigra, with its handsome black and white plumage is a very smart, crisp-looking bird and one that I was very keen to see on my short visit, birding in Oman during the summer. Hume's Wheatear is one of the resident breeding birds of Oman in contrast to the many other wheatears that occur in Oman only as passage migrants and/or winter visitors. Hume's Wheatear is a bird that is often tame around humans in Oman and this one allowed me to get close to get some nice video. I hope you enjoy seeing this Hume's Wheatear.
