This video reviews rule schedules. Rule schedules allow you to set feed rules to run on a custom schedule.
So say you want to test the performance of a feed rule, or test two rules concurrently or one after the other... or you only want to submit certain information or optimizations in a feed for a set period of time... rules schedules allow you to accomplish all of these and more.
Let's take a look at our test store to see how to configure rule schedules.
Here I am in my Google Shopping feed. First you'll go into the Rules page... say I want to set this first rule that optimizes my product titles to run for a one week period only.
To access the rule schedules, click the ellipse button here and select schedules.
scroll to the bottom of the dialog box then click the add schedule button.
Select a pre-set timeframe for your rule, or use the custom date range selector.
For further customization you can also toggle the rule schedule for any day of the week off so that the rule won't run on those days during the rule's schedule.
You can edit a rule schedule at any time, you can also remove a rule schedule easily by clicking the red delete button here.
Once you have set your rule schedule, make sure to click the blue save button.
Remember, rules with schedules set will have a calendar status icon button here in the rules list so you can easily see which rules are running on schedules.
