The Buffalo Bills addressed some special teams concerns on Thursday, doing so by signing Kicker Lucas Havrisik to their practice squad.
Havrisik has nine games of regular season experience in the NFL, and he converted a game-winning field goal in a Rams victory over the Seahawks last season.
The 25-year-old made a career-long conversion of 52 yards in 2023, and he’s also spent time on the practice squads with Indianapolis and Cleveland.
This signing comes after what had been a putrid start to the season for Tyler Bass, who appears to be a liability for Buffalo. In the 2023 AFC Divisional game against Kansas City, Bass missed what would’ve been a game-tying field goal in the final moments.
Since the infamous miss by Bass, his struggles have carried into the 2024 campaign as he’s converting field goals at a 75% rate.
With the signing, Lucas Havrisik is set to join the Buffalo Bills practice squad to provide Tyler Bass with competition. Havrisik can be elevated to the active 53-man roster at any time.
