How to change the default app on an android device?
Hi my name is Roger Ahuja and I'm going to take a moment and show you how to change the application that will open a specific type of file. So, I'm going to start by going here and clicking on applications and look at my downloads here and I have a PDF document that's here and I'm going to select the document viewer and say always and now it's always going to open up in here, but what if you decided to change your mind and you wanted to open this up in some other application how would you go about doing that and that's what I'm going to show you real quick. So you're going to go to settings, I have it right here and you can also pull it down from up here. And click on settings and then you scroll down to apps and then under apps you'll notice that the document viewer is actually not listed on here and what you have to do is you have to scroll to the right and look at. You can look at what's running, but you have to go to all apps and then go to the document viewer and then once you're there, we'll click on that and we'll scroll up and then clear defaults and when you do that then when you go back to open that type of file again and we'll do that again here go to downloads this thing is still open so let me close that real quick we'll go to downloads and now when I pick this file it's going to ask me again how I want to open it and that's it.
