When advancing the Red Army units to the capital of Czechoslovakia, the city of Prague, the commander of the Fourth Ukrainian Front, Army General Andrei Ivanovich Yeremenko, demanded of his subordinates. “Your goal is Prague, do not delay even for an hour.” Therefore, the columns of the Soviet troops almost without stopping went along the mountain and forest roads towards Prague. National flags and flags of red color with sickle and hammer hung around. We were greeted very warmly. Since we didn't stop, they handed us flowers, food and wine as we walked along.
