Meet the researchers shaping the world
Meet the researchers based in the UK and USA who are investigating how the pandemic unfolded, the unrest that followed and why.
There has been an ongoing effort to counter vaccine hesitancy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. People have been cautious about getting the vaccine for reasons ranging from their faith and belief systems to fear and conspiracy theories. A small sub-set have even taken to the streets to protest lockdowns and vaccines, but what compels people to mobilise when the majority of the population seems to accept temporary restrictions for the sake of public health? The delivery of vaccine messaging may hold the key to the resistance or acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines.
Researchers from the UK and US share their research on people’s attitudes and motivations towards the COVID-19 vaccine over the course of the pandemic. The findings from the project will be shared with practitioners and policymakers to help shape the continuing response to the pandemic.
