Stockholm, Sweden 1974 (silent color 8mm film)
We are in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden and the most populous urban area in the Nordic countries.
The film opens with a large panoramic shot of the city. We see the streets, the Riddarholmen church while in the background we can see the cathedral. The shots continue with the building structure of the city and the building of the newspaper "aftobladet" (the evening magazine) standing out as we watch the traffic on the streets, Lake Mälaren and the bridges.
The lens shows us the passers-by and stops at a woman who buy ice cream as continuing to shots of the buildings, with the Royal Swedish Opera building and the Grand Hotel standing out.
The view changes with a natural spring and we get back to the general shots with ships crossing the lake and cars of that era coming and going. The filmmaker gives us views of the city from the moving bus he is on. We see the streets, shops, tourists as well as the statue of Charles XIV John in Slussplan.
The tour continues with the filmmaker briefly standing at Riddarholmen church and then at the royal palace while views of the city streets follow, the building structure with the bell tower/clock tower of St. Nicholas to stand out.
The film closes with panoramic shots of the entire city as well as views from the moving bus.
