Let’s not forget humans are animals. And animals die.
An animal body is a complex machine with many many parts. If something goes wrong in our body, we either get sick or die.
Animals have sex.
And animals reproduce. (Remember new children are being added to the existing population.)
And we die.
We try to enjoy ourselves as much as possible, but then we die.

One of the ways we die is due to epidemics.
